Skagway Alaska was the first port cruise stopped at. The cruise ship took us on a tour up the Yukon White Pass. We saw the Inukshuk, the symbol of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, These were made by tourist but we learned the history of the Inuits. The train and the bus tour take very similar paths. You can walk amongst the Gold Rush history, shop for souvenirs, ride the train, watch the Days of ’98’ Show with Sophie Smith and the Can Can girls, and get your picture with Sarah Palin.
